Nebraska firefighters strive to provide their utmost when it comes to serving & protecting our families & communities. When one of these courageous individuals answers the final alarm, he or she must be honored with more than just flowers. As such, the purpose of the Nebraska Firefighters & EMS Memorial is to tangibly memorialize & to permanently honor Nebraska’s firefighters & EMS personnel of the past, the present & the future.

The Memorial consists of five stately red granite tablets engraved with the names of Nebraska’s line of duty deaths as well as eight beautiful black granite pedestals engraved with sponsored names of Nebraska’s past and present firefighters & EMTs. A red & black brick Show of Support Sidewalk leading up to the Memorial Bell Tower showcases the names and/or logos of individuals, families, businesses, departments & organizations who would like to express their pride in the fire & rescue services of their community and of the state!

Located lakeside at the northeast corner of the Nebraska Firefighters Museum & Education Center facility, the Memorial was dedicated during the Nebraska Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on 10-10-2010 to the brave firefighters & emergency medical providers statewide. The names engraved into the Memorial will serve as a lasting tribute to the men & women who have dedicated their lives in service to their communities & to their departments.

Memorial donations to the Nebraska Firefighters & EMS Memorial will help to honor the legacies of what these individuals have worked so hard to achieve.
